See Zeph. 2:3; 1 Tim. 6:11

Meekness (Greek praoteetos), Meek (Gr. praotes)

Trench, a well recognized N.T. scholar, defines meekness as follows, ”Meekness is an inwrought grace of the soul and the exercises are first and chiefly toward God through Jesus Christ. It is that temper of spirit in which we accept His dealings with us as good and therefore without disputing or resisting. The meekness before God is also such in the face of man.” The believer who is meek is without guile, is an honest believer void of double mindedness or guile.

Oswald Sanders, writes, “Meekness is not mere amiability of mildness of disposition. It is not spineless or servile man, for meekness is not an invertebrate virtue. It has nothing in common with the self-styled or self-afflicted humility, but is the opposite of an haughty and self-assertive spirit.” Meekness is not weakness for it is actually a very strong word. It implies forces and strengths held in check under strong control. The word meekness is used for the breaking in of horses, with the idea of controlled energy, forces of personality held firmly in hand.”

Meekness is an attitude that does not insists on its own rights, or on having its own way through strife and envy or anger. It stems from faith in God’s goodness and control over the situation. The gentle person is not occupied with self at all.

In the OT, the meek are those wholly relying on God rather than their own strength to defend them against injustice. Thus, meekness toward evil people means that God knows the injuries they inflict, that He is using them to purify His elect, and that He will deliver His elect in His time. (Isa. 41:17; Luke 18:1-8). A meek believer if insulted or treated wrongly he will not retaliate. This is a work of the Holy Spirit, not of the human will. (Gal. 5:23).

Examples of meekness:

Moses, he was a meek man in God’s eyes – Num 12:3.

David was meek in his dealings with King Saul – 1 Sam 16:9; Jer. 26:14.

Job was a meek man.

John the Baptist was a meek man subject to Holy Spirit.

Jesus is a meek Saviour, Isa. 42:1-4; Isa. 53:7; Matt. 11:28, 29; Hebr. 10:7; Matt. 26:47-54.

The Centurion was a man in authority submitted to his superiors, Matthew 8:5-13.

The apostle Paul was a man of meekness, 1 Thess. 2:7; Acts 9:17.

Promises of blessings to the meek:

1. Satisfaction – “The meek shall be satisfied” Psalm 22:26

2. Discretion – “The meek will He guide in judgment” (having insight in making right decisions – no double mindedness) Psalm 25:9

3. Instruction – “. . . The meek will He teach His ways.” Psalm 25:9

4. Salvation - “. . . to save all the meek of the earth” Psalm 76:9

5. Exaltation – “ The Lord lifts up the meek;” Psalm 147:6

6. Beautify – “He will beautify the meek with salvation.” Psa. 149:4

7. Joy – “The meek also will increase their joy in the Lord.” Isa. 29:19

8. Inheritance – “ The meek shall inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5

9. Single mind – “Therefore put away all filthiness and unrestrained wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.” James 1:21

10. Repentance – Turns the double minded soul into a single focused mindset of faith.

“And they overcame him (the Devil) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Revelation 12:11

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” Romans 8:37

“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” Rom. 6:14

We are entering into a time when the ability of the believer to stand in faith for his or her testimony as a son of God in Christ will be decisive in the victory over the powers of the Satan.

In the closing years of this age it will therefore be imperative to be intimately acquainted with the workings and power of the Holy Spirit and the authority of the name of Jesus (Mat. 28:18; Eph. 1:19-22).

The years before the return of Jesus Christ will see an increasing demonic activity attempting to dethrone our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and set up Satan’s throne in the hearts of men. The enemy will not succeed because of the Overcomers in their total allegiance to Christ will stand in his way with the authority of the Gospel. They will stand in the authority of the abundance of grace and righteousness of their Lord, Jesus Christ, and they will prevail against the demonic oppositions through deceptions and his counterfeits by bringing down and destroying the strongholds of the enemy. (Rom. 5:17)

A. The Authority of God and His Word

They overcome by the Word of their Testimony: They know the transforming power of the spoken Word of God, and its authority against Satan.

The authority of the Word of God depends entirely upon His omnipotence, omnipresence, omniscience, His eternal existence and His direct interrelationship with His Word to mankind. All these attributes and dynamics are inherent in Jesus Christ, and the stipulations and conditions fully met in God’s Son to satisfy all the judicial requirements of a holy God to stand behind His Word and perform effectively.

Matthew 4:4 – But he answered and said “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”

Mark 13:34 – For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

Luke 11:28 – But he said, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Ephesians 6:17 – And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word (rhema) of God.

1 Peter 1:25 – But the word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. (Isaiah 40:8)

Jeremiah 1:12 – Then said the LORD unto me, you have well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

Matthew 5:18 – For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Matthew 24:3 – Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Luke 21:3 – Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

B. The Authority of the Blood of the Lamb

They overcome the Devil by the Blood of the Lamb: They totally rely on the provisions of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary.

Romans 5:9 – Much more then, being now justified by his blood…”

Ephesians 1:7 – In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; (Col. 1:14)

Colossians 1:20 – And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

1 John 1:7 – But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.

C. The Communion or co-suffering of the Cross (Romans 6, Phil 3:10)

Jesus identified with them and gave His life, now the believers suffer with the Cross. Their identification with His suffering to live for His name that they may triumph over every attack of the enemy and see Jesus enthroned and recognized as Lord by the world. (Phil 3:10)

James 1:12 – Blessed is the man that endures temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love him.

Matthew 28:20 – Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world…”

Luke 14:27 – And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

1 Corinthians 1:18 – For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Galatians 6:14 – But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Colossians 2:14 – Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross.

Psalm 102:26 – They shall perish, but You shall endure. (Heb. 1:11)

Titus 1:2 – In hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, has promised before the world began.

Demonic Entry Points

Proper healing and deliverance entails “Whole Personality Deliverance”

A demon needs a legal reason which is found in the transgression or violation of the will of God, to torment a person.

This method uses a questionnaire that pinpoints where the problem began and why the demon was able to gain entrance, or what we call entry points. The open door most often is intimidation, based on fear. Fear is a sin because it is a form of idol worship in which the object of their fear is considered greater and more powerful than the almighty God and Jesus Christ. Absolutely know, beyond a shadow of doubt, that Satan is a defeated foe because Jesus Christ, your Savior and Lord, dethroned and stripped him from his power on the cross. (Col. 2:15; Heb. 2:14) The apostles admonished the Church repeatedly to “flee idolatry.” In the Old Testament Israel rather worshiped the idol gods rather than Yahweh, the true God of Israel, because they thought that the idol gods brought real prosperity.

People inherit physical weaknesses and curses.

Generational curses and attached demons will follow family lines – we call these inherited curses and demonic influences. For example, if a person was conceived out of wedlock (a bastard child) – in lust, so to speak, that person will often struggle with lust inherited from birth. If a father walks out of his family and marries again without properly dissolving (before the courts on earth and heaven) his sons from the second marriage will follow the same pattern.

Family involvement or previous personal involvement in the occult and Satanism.

These practices always open doors to the demonic. Even innocently done childhood activities, such as playing with an Ouija board, or telling ghost stories and calling up the dead at a slumber party, can be demonic entry points. We often need to cast out multiple spirits, the most common of which are witchcraft, death and/or suicide, and especially the spirit of fear.

Controlling and dominating parents.

These family dynamics cause rejection and rebellion resulting in mental and emotional disorientation of identity and purposes in the lives of their the children. Stunted emotions results in restricted decision making and relationships.

Cross-Generational relationship.

This causes major overload of the child’s emotions with adult responsibilities and the absence of a non-functioning parent in the family creates a vacuum which forces the child to fill the void by role(s) playing to keep the family in running condition. Family traumas are mainly caused by SINS OF COMMISSION (2) OR OMMISSION (5).

No father authority.

Growing up without proper father authority voids the child of the umbrella of protection and provision opens the door for direct and/or indirect demonic attacks, such as rape, etc. This often results in of passivity and lying.

The transfer of spirits trough identification and attachment.

The most common and often overlooked reason for demonization is the transfer of a spirit or even spirits. The opportunity for transfer often lies in the conscious or unconscious association with an curse through inheritance of sinful practice.

Another common entry point is victimization.

Children who have been abused (esp. srma) suffer enormous physical, emotional, psychological, and developmental damage. The destroyer (John 10.10) has traumatized the child, often threatening death (entrance of the spirit of death) to the child or loved ones if the child ever tells anyone about the incident. These children have ruined lives. Their marriages often fail because of the lack of bonding they experienced in growing up. They become abusers of others. The passive personalities have a tendency to even commit suicide. Often children have picked up demons through the family dynamics and through no fault of their own. It seems as though Jesus may have suggested the death penalty (see Mt. 18:6; Mk. 9:42; and Luke 17:1-2).

Rejection and shame are the main entry points.

Jesus commanded us to love one another. We are never told to hate, shame or reject anyone – quite the opposite. Love and forgiveness are two very important characteristics of the Christian religion. If a young person experiences strong, repeated rejection and shaming he or she may have a stronghold of rejection rebellion and fear that needs to be dealt with. (2 Cor 10:3-5)

Willful sin and disobedience will open the door to demonization.

The Ten Commandments were given for our good, and if everyone kept them through the power of the Holy spirit we would have very few believers to be healed and delivered.

Asking for the name of the demon is a dubious and questionable practice in deliverance.

I rather look to the Lord for information through the Holy Spirit of ask the person for the reason and time of the trauma or the conclusion she reached after a long time of discouragement and torment.

There may be other entry points, but I have found these to be the most common. Some are beyond the control of an individual, because our enemy, Satan, has come to steal, kill and destroy, (John 10:10). Our job as believers, is to get rid of any of our own problems and to keep our children from ever having to deal with demons either.

Healing and Deliverance

Freedom to the soul comes by asking the Holy Spirit to show you the root system of your trauma(s) and troubles. Do what Jesus did:

Forgive your abusers for every form of physical, mental and emotional abuse.

Identify with Christ on the cross (Luke 9:23-26) knowing that He is your High Priest (Heb. 4:15).

Come to a place of ceasing to fight and struggle with your hurts and humiliations by seeing Christ on the cross suffering for you.

Then, by faith in His provision appropriate your healing and deliverance by exchanging your pain and poverty for His riches of wholeness. (2 Cor. 8:9; 9:8).

Repent of any personal contribution, give thanks and break every curse and demonic power associated with your traumas.

Now confess the Word of God and declare that you are a NEW CREATION IN CHRIST, 2 Cor 5:17. You’re now living in the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus, Rom. 8:2

A prophecy by Dwight L. Niswander, Sarnia, Ontario Canada (see bottom for details).

The time is come when all kinds of error and division will come to those who have entered into My Spirit. They will put their trust in men who claim to know My Word, but they do not respect the authority that is in My Word. And, there are those who will trust in each other without having the same trust in Me. Yea, this is an hour when I shall again set the prophets to cry to the need of this hour.

My Word is sharper than a two-edged Word, but many claim it only as a scriptural matter. Many delight in taking the sacred writ and mutilating it with their own version and interpretations. My people have been destroyed for a lack of understanding of My Word. My Word begins and ends with Me. It is the authority which has its effect because of the anointing that accompanies it. My Word is life. My Word is a divider of that which is TRUTH on one side and error on the other side.

The word is a revelation of truth that comes forcibly upon those who seek counsel from Me. The Word is inspiration to those who obey Me and confusion to those who abide in the doctrine of men. Man tends to invent his own ideas from the Scriptures, and no two persons living on earth can agree in the meaning of the Scriptures by Me.

These are the days when I must allow My Spirit to come heavily upon the apostles and prophets so that they can declare the truth in unison. The Word is the beginning of wisdom. The Word is even greater than man’s ideas of the Scriptures, and yet many have not seen that the Scriptures are the guide and pattern to go by. Some accept it as a way of debate to their own point of view. Some endeavor to know it as a dogmatic basis for their pride because of study and the accumulation of knowledge, but yea, many of those who know the Scriptures in theory do not follow Me in reality.

The Word must be understood as the revelation of My Son. It is not a set of rules and regulations that puts emphasis on man’s own religious spirit. It is based upon a relationship with Me. I am weary of those who delight in the Scriptures, but who do not delight in Me. Many are knowledgeable to the facts of the Scriptures. but they do not know the main fact – to abide in the revelation of all that I am.

This is the day of challenge, and it will be a direct confrontation by My Spirit. It will be a day of great confusion for those who wish to debate and contend to the sacred oracles as though they can conceive it from their own spirit. Is not My Spirit the author and also the interpreter of the Scriptures? Did I not breathe upon holy men to write out my Word? So shall it be in this hour. My Word shall be a strong Word in this day that shall not add to those fundamentals that are in Scriptures, but it shall bring life and hope and direction. It shall bring a unity in the Body for my prophetic anointing shall flow through the prophets. My Word shall fulfill a new inspiration for My people to grasp and understand and faith shall increase. It shall even reveal the mysteries of the revelation. My Spirit shall move on all places on the earth and new light shall come. It shall establish an awe and holiness so that My people can move with great joy and gladness into the purposes which I shall thus establish. It shall bring hope and comfort to those whose hearts are perfect toward Me.

Seek Me not for all that you desire to first receive for yourselves, but seek Me for the purpose of the Kingdom upon earth. In this spirit you shall be safe from the storms of wrath which shall come upon the earth. Those who look to My laws shall be as Mount Zion. They shall know that the Word of the Lord is their sure comfort and defense. They shall be as eagles on the earth. Yes, this is the hour of great decisions upon all those who are in the political arena. It is also an hour of great struggle within the Church, but those who know My Word will be kept and walk in the power of My Truth.

I have not been able to locate or contact the source of this important prophetic word, but believe that the Lord, giving the word to Br. It’s focus and purity have been a inspiration to me in the preaching and teaching of the Word of God to the Body of Christ. I decided to include it in the NehemiahMinistries.ca web site, (John Mol, PO.

Luke 4:32 – And they were astonished at Jesus’ doctrine: for his word was with power.

1. Regenerating Power:

Romans 1: 16 – For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;

1 Peter 1:23 – Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

James 1:18 – Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

2. Transforming Power:

1 Thessalonians 2:13 – For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when you received the word of God which you heard of us, you received (embraced) it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually works also in you that believe. (cf. Acts 20.32; Ps. 19.8; 1 Pet. 1:22)

Hebrews 4:12 ‑ “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two‑edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (John 3:5; John 17:17‑19; Eph. 5:26; 2 Timothy 3:16; Romans 12:2).

John 17:17 ‑ “Sanctify them through Your truth: Your word is truth..

3. Keeping Power:

Hebrews 1:3 ‑ Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

4. Defensive Power:

Matthew 4:4 – But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

5. Offensive Power:

Ephesians 6:17 ‑ And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Mat. 4.4‑10; Rev. 12:11; 1 John 2:14; Mat 8:16; Luke 4:32)

6. Healing Power:

Psalm 107:20 ‑ He sent his word, and healed the and delivered them from their destructions.

Matthew 8:8 ‑ “but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

7. Comforting Power:

Romans 15:4 – For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

8. Convicting Power:

Hebrews 4:12 – For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart

9. Deliverance Power

Luke 4:36 – And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.

Matthew 8:16 ‑ When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with [his] word, and healed all that were sick.

Mark 12:30 –“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength…”

2nd Commandment

Mark 12:31 – “And the second is like, namely this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”

The love of God towards one another results in spiritual growth through the cleansing blood of Christ.

Sanctification Through Relationship and Fellowship

John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

1 John 3:16 – “Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we o for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.”

1 John 4:21 – “And this commandment have we from him, that he who loves God love his brother also.”

The above truths indicate the need for us to “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another, and so much the more, as ye see the Day approaching.” (Hebr. 10:25)

GOD’S ZEGENINGEN IN JEZUS CHRISTUS

Verdrukking, of benauwdheid, of vervolging, of honger, naaktheid, of gevaar, of zwaard?
Rom 5:1 Wij dan, gerechtvaardigd zijnde uit het geloof, hebben vrede bij God, door onze Here Jezus Christus;
Luk 4:18 De Geest des Heren is op Mij, daarom heeft Hij Mij gezalfd; Hij heeft Mij gezonden, om den armen het Evangelie te verkondigen, om te genezen, die gebroken zijn van hart;

Exo 20:5 Gij zult u voor die niet buigen, noch hen dienen; want Ik, de HERE uw God, ben een ijverig God, Die de misdaad der vaderen bezoek aan de kinderen, aan het derde, en aan het vierde lid degenen, die Mij haten;

Sela.
Niet Vergeven
Mat 18:30, 32-35 Doch hij wilde niet, maar ging heen, en wierp hem in de gevangenis, totdat hij de schuld zou betaald hebben. 32 Toen heeft hem zijn heer tot zich geroepen, en zeide tot hem: Gij boze dienstknecht, al die schuld heb ik u kwijtgescholden, dewijl gij mij gebeden hebt;

Morren tegen God’s Dienst Knecht

Nummeri 12:1-16; 21:5-11; ( Exodus 15:24-26)
ONTVLUCHTING DOOR VREES/ANGST
Psalm of David Psa 55

Medicijnmeesters/Timmerman
Mark. 5:25-27 En een zekere vrouw, die twaalf jaren den vloed des bloeds gehad had, 26 En veel geleden had van vele medicijnmeesters, en al het hare daaraan ten koste gelegd en geen baat gevonden had, maar met welke het veeleer erger geworden was; 27 Deze van Jezus horende, kwam onder de schare van achteren, en raakte Zijn kleed aan;
Mar 6:6 En Hij verwonderde Zich over hun ongeloof, ….”
Mat 12:38 Schriftgeleerden en Farizeen, zeggende: Meester! wij willen van U wel een teken zien. 39 Maar Hij antwoordde en zeide tot hen: Het boos en overspelig geslacht verzoekt een teken; en hun zal geen teken gegeven worden, dan het teken van Jonas, den profeet. Verw.: 2 Kon. 5:8-14; Hand. 10:34;
God’s soevereine wil in wereld gebeuren- Gr. “Boulema.”

The apostle Paul, in exposing and refuting the Colossian heresies (legalisms and gnosticism, which are very similar to New Age heresies of today), shows the Church the greatness and all-sufficiency of Jesus Christ throughout the whole letter to the Colossians. In Col. 1:15-19 Paul portrays seven superiority’s of Christ in His pre-eminent Supremacy. In this letter Paul continually portrays Christ as the only true revelation of God to point both the believer and the unbeliever to God through Him and into true spirituality acceptable to the Father.

In the scriptures under consideration Paul shows us the total completeness of the believer in Christ. Christ’s victory over sin in the suffering on the cross and victory over the power of death being raised to life again from the grave to set the believer free in every aspect of life.

1. Made whole and protected in Christ’s exalted position.

Col. 2:10-”And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:”

2. Set free from the body of sins of the flesh.

Col. 2:11-”In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:”

3. Died in Christ and raised with Him by the Holy Spirit.

Col. 2:12-”Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.”

4. Forgiven and set free from guilt and fear.

Col. 2:13-“And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; ” (c.f. Rom. 8:15)

5. Freedom from the accusation of the Law.

Col. 2:14-”Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;”

6. Freedom through the victory of Christ.

Col. 2:15-“And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” – “Christ spoiled, stripped and triumphed over all principalities and powers through the sacrifice of His blood of His cross.”

7. Freedom from the domination of man made ceremonies.

Col. 2:16-”Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days:

Romans 6:4, 5, 8–Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:.

2 Corinthians 5:17–Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new.
